This site provides you with information on windscreens and vehicle glass. It tells you about windscreen repair and about replacement windscreens and body glass.

There's also information about how your car insurance covers you for car window damage and what happens if you don't have glass cover on your motor insurance policy. Plus, we've included some information on windscreens and the MOT test and a bit about windscreen wipers.

Can Windscreens Etc. fix damaged car windows?

In one word - 'no'. For that, you need to go to one of the vehicle glass repair and replacement companies like Autoglass.

This site is not run by a car window company but by a couple of people who have (like many of you) had need of their services and thought it would be a good idea to try to bring a lot of windscreen and car window information together in one place to help other people.

If you have experiences or information you want to contribute then get in touch.

Vehicle glass news

Did you know that a chipped windscreen doesn't necessarily have to be replaced?

Windscreen repair is all the rage at the moment (anyone not heard the Autoglass ads on the radio this year?). Venture into your local Tesco or Focus DIY car park and you are increasingly likely to be offered the opportunity to have your windscreen chip repaired while you shop.

And, if you are fully insured, the only cash you have to part with is for the week's groceries or packet of nails - the windscreen repair is usually free.

Apparently, having your windscreen repaired does not affect your no-claims bonus either
