Wipers
Windscreen wipers have not been around quite as long as the wheel but they are old technology.
They are however very important as they help you see where you are going.
Windscreen wipers have not been around quite as long as the wheel but they are old technology.
They are however very important as they help you see where you are going.
...because if your wipers are defective you could be fined and get three points on your licence under the 'Construction and Use' regulations (CU20).
Damaged or worn wiper blades can also harm your windscreen. New blades are much cheaper than a new windscreen.
And of course, if your wiper blades are in good condition then you can see where you are going when it rains!
This can be caused simply by old age and the effects of weathering by the sun which makes the rubber hard and liable to break up.
Blades can also be damaged by a windscreen chip as the edges of the stone damage will attack the wiper blade.
Lots of possible causes - incorrectly adjusted wipers, worn rubbers, etc.
More will be added to this page just as soon as we get time.
